Falcons Loses Lead Early In Defeat
Falcons fell behind early and couldn’t come back in a 19-3 loss to Admirals on Sunday. Admirals scored on a double by Mauricio Montenegro, a walk by Jorrit Patist, and a triple by Kyan Beer in the first inning.
The Falcons struggled to contain the high-powered offense of Admirals, giving up 19 runs.
Admirals got things started in the first inning. Admirals scored one run when Mauricio doubled.
Admirals scored nine runs in the fifth inning. Stan van Loon, Lucas Lorrentop, Lorenzo Willem, Jim Hoyer, Lorenzo, and Sander van der Meer each drove in runs during the inning.
Kyan pitched Admirals to victory. He lasted three innings, allowing two hits and one run while striking out one. Lucas and Sander entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.
Tijn Fredrikze took the loss for Falcons. He lasted one and two-thirds innings, allowing five hits and five runs while striking out three and walking one.
Camilo Araya Lemaire went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Falcons in hits. Falcons didn’t commit a single error in the field. Sinan Tosun had seven chances in the field, the most on the team.
Admirals saw the ball well today, racking up 17 hits in the game. Jim, Sander, Mauricio, Fabryson S, Lucas, and Kyan each collected multiple hits for Admirals.
