Van Hevel’s Walk-Off Gives Patriots Victory Over Titans
It came down to the wire on Wednesday, with Patriots taking victory on a dramatic walk-off single in the late innings that sealed their victory over Titans. The game was tied at seven with Patriots batting in the bottom of the eighth when Kevin Van Hevel singled on a 3-2 count, scoring one run.
Patriots earned the victory despite allowing Titans to score four runs in the seventh inning. Daniel Axson and Zion De Brauwer each had RBIs in the big inning.
Titans got on the board in the first inning when Daan Verpaalen singled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run.
In the bottom of the seventh inning, Patriots tied things up at seven when Tijmen Stark doubled on a 0-1 count, scoring three runs.
After Titans scored one run in the top of the second, 18U Patriots answered with one of their own. Titans scored when an error scored one run for Titans.
