Admirals Can’t Catch Up To Falcons
Admirals fell behind early and couldn’t come back in a 13-1 loss to Falcons on Sunday. Falcons scored on a triple by Lowe Jellnor, a single by Yilber Contreras, a walk by Šimon Hanus, and a wild pitch during Paul Kingston Kerle’s at bat in the first inning.
The Admirals struggled to contain the high-powered offense of Falcons, giving up 13 runs.
Falcons opened up scoring in the first inning. Falcons scored two runs when Lowe tripled.
Wouter Mintjes was on the pitcher’s mound for Falcons. He allowed two hits and one run over two innings, striking out two and walking one.
Alex Gross led things off on the hill for Admirals. He surrendered five runs on four hits over two-thirds of an inning, striking out one. Finn Schulze, Mauricio Montenegro, and Emil Fagerlund each contributed in relief for Admirals.
Nando Mostaert, Mauricio Montenegro, Kimi Verkruijssen, and Otis Ward each collected one hit to lead Admirals.
Falcons racked up nine hits on the day. Jayden Fraay and Elijah Rustenburg each racked up multiple hits for Falcons. Jayden went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead Falcons in hits.
