Victor Araya Lemaire to lead the 2014 BATC Cavaliers

“Very, very happy” was one of the quotes in the Battle at the Castle front office when Victor Araya Lemaire committed to be the general manager of the 2014 BATC Cavaliers team. Victor is a powerful, passionate and energetic youth coach who loves to learn kids the great game of baseball, and not just by telling them the rules and how to field a ball. He is capable of using the game in a bigger perspective: building selfconfidence and selfesteem through the game. Right now Victor is the head coach of the newest baseball club in The Netherlands: the Amsterdam Marshalls. Built around kids who didn’t get free rides in their young lives. Many wondered how they would do in the highest Dutch youth league, but Victor showed the faith in his kids and here they are winning quality games.

We are very happy and proud to add this caliber youth coach to our tournament, helping our participants to take their game one level up. The kids will benefit from his experience and have a lot to learn from his approach of the game. The Cavaliers are definitely looking to better their 2013 third place finish. And they seem to be in pole position!
